# Prompts and routines for AI assistants > Copy a prompt into your assistant and Bytown does the work in your ad accounts. Reads answer straight away; changes wait for your yes. Source: https://bytown.co/docs/assistant-prompts ยท Updated October 9, 2026 Every prompt here works in any connected assistant. The **Changes?** column tells you whether the prompt reads only, or stages a change for you to confirm. ## Reports and performance | Prompt | What Bytown does | Changes? | |---|---|---| | How did my Google campaigns perform last week vs the week before? | Pulls live metrics and the change for each campaign. | Read only | | Compare my cost per lead on Meta and Google for the last 30 days. | Lines up both platforms on the same window. | Read only | | Which landing pages convert best from my ads? | Matches ad clicks to Google Analytics key events, if connected. | Read only | | Build a client-ready report for September. | Summarizes spend, results and the 3 things that moved. | Read only | ## Audits and spend control | Prompt | What Bytown does | Changes? | |---|---|---| | Which campaigns spent money with zero conversions this month? | Adds up spend and conversions across campaigns. | Read only | | Audit my search terms and add negatives for anything irrelevant. | Finds wasted searches and stages negative keywords. | Staged for your yes | | Check my conversion tracking health on Google and Meta. | Runs the same health checks as the Bytown app. | Read only | | Find any disapproved ads and tell me why. | Lists each ad with the platform's reason. | Read only | ## Budgets and campaigns | Prompt | What Bytown does | Changes? | |---|---|---| | Raise the daily budget on my Spring Sale campaign to $75. | Shows the old and new budget. | Staged for your yes | | Pause any ad with a cost per lead above $80 in the last 14 days. | Lists each ad it would pause. | Staged for your yes | | Duplicate my best Meta ad into a new campaign. | Clones the ad. Nothing publishes until you say yes. | Staged for your yes | | Move $20 a day from my weakest Google campaign to my best one. | Shows both budget changes together. | Staged for your yes | ## Routines Assistants that run on a schedule, such as Grok Bot, ChatGPT dots and Instinct, take a standing brief. Keep "ask me first" in every routine. ```text Weekly check (Grok Bot) Every Monday at 7 AM, use @Bytown to check my ad accounts. Post the three biggest problems to #marketing and stage fixes for my approval. Never change a budget without asking me. ``` ```text Daily brief (ChatGPT dot) Use Bytown for all my ad accounts. Check them every morning at 7 and bring me the three things to fix. Ask me before you change anything. ``` ```text Morning text (Instinct) Text me every morning at 8 with yesterday's ad results from Bytown. Call me if my cost per lead doubles. ``` ```text Standing instruction (Muse, Claude or ChatGPT) For anything about my ads, use Bytown and its ad tools. Always show me a change before you make it. ``` ## Tips for better answers - **Name the platform and window.** "Google, last 14 days" beats "recently". - **Say what good looks like.** "Cost per lead under $40" gives Bytown a target to judge against. - **Ask for the why.** "Explain why before you suggest a change" gets you the reasoning with the fix. - **One business at a time.** Each connection covers one Bytown business. Connect again to switch.
