# Connect your ad accounts > Bytown works on the ad accounts you connect under Connections. Each connection takes about a minute, and your accounts stay yours. Source: https://bytown.co/docs/connect-ad-accounts · Updated October 20, 2026 Open **Connections** in the Bytown sidebar. Ad platforms and Analytics each have a list with one row per platform, and the top of the page tells you whether everything is healthy or needs attention. You can connect accounts before you choose a plan. | Platform | How it connects | Notes | |---|---|---| | [Google Ads](#google-ads) | Sign in with Google | Search, Display, Shopping and Performance Max | | [Meta Ads](#meta-ads) | Sign in with Facebook | Facebook and Instagram | | [LinkedIn Ads](#linkedin-ads) | Sign in with LinkedIn | B2B campaigns | | [Microsoft Ads](#microsoft-ads) | Sign in with Microsoft | Search ads on Bing | | [ChatGPT Ads](#chatgpt-ads) | Paste an API key | Ads inside ChatGPT | | [Google Analytics](#google-analytics) | Sign in with Google | Website traffic and key events, read-only | TikTok Ads and Reddit Ads are coming soon. ## Connect any platform [Watch: How to Connect Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn or ChatGPT Ads to Bytown (0:42)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbfE2q9RG-4) ### Choose Connect Next to the platform, choose **Connect**. If an earlier attempt didn't finish, the button says **Finish setup** instead. If access expired or syncing stopped, it says **Reconnect**. ### Sign in in the popup A popup opens on the platform's own sign-in page. Sign in with the login that has access to the ad account. Bytown waits while you finish there. ### Choose the account Bytown lists the ad accounts that login can reach. Choose which one to use for this business. ### Check it's active The platform now shows **Active**. Choose **Manage** to see the connected account or disconnect it. **Wrong account?** Choose **Disconnect account** and start again with the right login. Disconnecting removes the stored connection only. Your ad account and its campaigns stay exactly as they are. ## Google Ads Sign in with the Google login that can manage your Google Ads account. If you see no accounts, that login probably lacks access, so ask the account owner to add you. On Done for you, follow [Grant Google Ads access](/guide/how-to-grant-google-ads-admin-access) to give our team access. ## Meta Ads Sign in with Facebook and choose your ad account. Meta ads are published by a Facebook Page, which is separate from the ad account. When you build a campaign, Bytown asks which Page to publish as, so make sure your login can post as that Page. On Done for you, follow [Grant Meta access](/guide/how-to-grant-meta-business-manager-access) to give our team access. The Meta row also shows your pixel's health: | Badge | What it means | |---|---| | **Pixel: Active** | Events are arriving. | | **Pixel: Active · No CAPI** | The browser pixel works, but server events aren't set up. | | **Pixel: No events in 24h** | The pixel exists but hasn't fired for a day. | | **Pixel: Not firing** | Events have stopped. Check your site's tracking code. | | **Pixel: Not found** | No pixel is linked to this ad account. | | **Pixel: Check failed** | Bytown couldn't check the pixel this time. Try again later. | ## LinkedIn Ads Sign in with the LinkedIn login that has access to your Campaign Manager account, then choose the account. ## Microsoft Ads Sign in with Microsoft, using a personal account or a work or school account, then choose your Microsoft Advertising account. You can copy a winning Google Ads campaign to Microsoft Ads on request. Step-by-step help is in [Connect Microsoft Ads](/docs/connect-microsoft-ads). ## ChatGPT Ads ChatGPT Ads connects with an API key instead of a sign-in. ### Create a key In the ChatGPT Ads Manager, open **Settings** and create an API key. ### Paste it in Bytown Next to ChatGPT Ads, choose **Connect** and paste the key. The key belongs to one ad account, so there's nothing else to choose. Everything Bytown creates in ChatGPT Ads starts paused, and each ad must pass OpenAI's review before it runs. New to the format? Read [ChatGPT Ads](/chatgpt-ads). ## Google Analytics Connect Google Analytics so Bytown can compare ad results with your website traffic and key events. Next to **Google Analytics**, choose **Connect**, sign in with Google and choose which property to use. Bytown asks for read-only access, so it can never change your Analytics setup. Analytics doesn't count as an ad platform on your plan. ## Plans and platforms Pro includes 1 ad account on any of the 5 ad platforms: Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft or ChatGPT Ads. Max includes all of them, with unlimited ad accounts. Google Analytics works alongside either. See [Plans and billing](/docs/plans). ## Common questions ### The popup closed but nothing connected. What now? Your browser may have blocked the popup. Allow popups for ads.bytown.co, then choose Connect again. If the button says Finish setup, an earlier attempt got halfway, so open it and pick up where you left off. Your ad account is never changed by a failed connection attempt. ### Why don't I see my ad account in the list? The login you used can't reach it. Sign in with the login that manages the account, or ask the account owner to give that login access first. Then choose Disconnect account and connect again. Bytown only lists the accounts your own login can open, which keeps every connection on your permissions.
