# Connect Bytown to Instinct

> No settings page and no app to install. Text Instinct the connector, approve access once, and your ads join the conversation.

Instinct is an invite-only personal assistant. It publishes no developer docs, so these steps reflect Bytown's own setup and may change as Instinct evolves.
## Connect in 4 steps

### Connect your ad accounts in Bytown
Instinct sees exactly the accounts you connect in Bytown, and nothing else. See [Connect your ad accounts](/docs/connect-ad-accounts).

### Text Instinct the connector
Send Instinct one text with the connector URL.

```text Text this to Instinct
Please connect the Bytown MCP server at https://ads.bytown.co/mcp so you can help with my ads.
```

### Approve access and pick your business
Instinct replies with a link. Open it on Bytown's own page, choose the business Instinct should work on and allow access. Instinct never sees a password.

### Set up your morning text
Tell Instinct when to text you and when to call.

```text Your morning text
Text me every morning at 8 with yesterday's ad results from Bytown. Call me if my cost per lead doubles.
```
When Instinct proposes a change, it texts you the summary. Reply **YES** to confirm it, or ignore it to leave things as they are.

## Switch business or disconnect

In the Bytown business Instinct works on, open **Connections → AI assistants → Other MCP assistants** and choose **Disconnect** next to Instinct. It may be listed under the name it registered with. It loses access at once and your ad accounts stay untouched.

Note: Instinct facts checked October 2026 against instinct.com. Bytown is not affiliated with Spear Street Technology, the company behind Instinct.

## Common questions

### What if I don't reply to a change Instinct texts me?

Nothing happens. Bytown tells Instinct to get your yes before it confirms, and a change nobody confirms expires after 15 minutes with the account left exactly as it was. Ask Instinct again later if you still want it, and Bytown stages a fresh summary with the latest numbers.

### Does Instinct cost extra?

Bytown charges nothing extra for the connector on Pro or Max. Instinct is invite-only and publishes no price during its beta, so check with Instinct for its own terms. Once you're in, the setup above takes one text and one approval.
