# Connect Bytown to Meta Muse > There's no settings page to hunt for. Send Muse one message, sign in to Bytown once, and start asking about your ads. Source: https://bytown.co/docs/connect-meta-muse · Updated October 13, 2026 ## Connect in 4 steps ### Connect your ad accounts in Bytown Muse sees exactly the accounts you connect in Bytown, and nothing else. If you haven't yet, connect them under **Connections**. See [Connect your ad accounts](/docs/connect-ad-accounts). ### Ask Muse to add the connector Open Muse and send this message. Muse builds the custom connector from the URL on its own. ```text Send this to Muse Create a custom connector called Bytown for https://ads.bytown.co/mcp ``` ### Sign in and pick your business Bytown opens its own sign-in page. Choose the business Muse should work on and allow access. Muse gets your login's permissions for that one business and never sees a password. ### Ask your first question Try **List my ad accounts**. Then give Muse one standing instruction, so it reaches for Bytown whenever your ads come up. ```text Standing instruction For anything about my ads, use Bytown and its ad tools. Always show me a change before you make it. ``` ## What to ask Muse Muse reads all your connected platforms, not just Meta. Try: ```text Try these in Muse Which of my Meta ads are winning this week, and which should I pause? Compare my cost per lead on Meta and Google for the last 30 days. Which campaigns spent money with zero conversions this month? Raise the daily budget on my best Meta ad set by 20%. ``` When Muse proposes a change, it shows the summary first. Confirm it in Muse to apply it. More ideas are in [Prompts and routines](/docs/assistant-prompts). ## Switch business or disconnect In the Bytown business Muse works on, open **Connections → AI assistants → Other MCP assistants** and choose **Disconnect** next to Muse. It may be listed under the name it registered with. Muse loses access at once and your ad accounts stay untouched. Connect again to pick a different business. Note: Muse facts checked October 2026 against Meta's announcements. Muse is a Meta product. Bytown is not affiliated with Meta. ## Common questions ### Does Muse need Bytown to manage Meta ads? Muse can talk about Meta on its own, but Bytown gives it your real account data across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft and ChatGPT Ads, plus changes staged for your approval. You ask in Muse, Bytown does the work in your accounts, and nothing runs until you confirm it. ### Is Muse safe with my ad accounts? Yes. Muse signs in on Bytown's own page and receives access to one business, never your password or your Meta login. Every change is staged with a summary and waits for your yes in Muse. You can disconnect Muse from the Connections page in Bytown at any time.
