About the role

Bytown is an AI marketing automation platform. Owners describe their business in plain English, our AI agents draft a complete ad campaign in five minutes across Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit, and a human marketer on our team reviews every draft before it goes live. You'll own the commercial side of that flow — from first trial sign-up to paid conversion to account expansion.

You'll be the first dedicated GTM hire. That means closing, building a lightweight playbook, running onboarding calls, and telling the product team exactly which objection keeps killing deals this week. No enterprise cycles, no nine-month evaluations — Pro is $199/month and most accounts decide inside two weeks.

What you'll do

  • Own the full cycle from inbound trial to paid to expansion.
  • Run discovery and onboarding calls with founders, non-profit directors, architects and local business owners.
  • Close Pro ($199/mo) and Max ($449/mo) plans end to end.
  • Build a short, living playbook — not a 40-page deck.
  • Work with the product team on trial-to-paid conversion levers.
  • Translate plain-English business descriptions into campaigns that win.
  • Feed customer objections straight back into landing pages, pricing and onboarding.

What we're looking for

  • 3–7 years closing SMB or mid-market SaaS end to end.
  • Comfort with Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn vocabulary — or the appetite to learn it fast.
  • Written communication that could pass for the rest of our marketing copy.
  • Real ownership of a number before — not just support on someone else's quota.
  • Comfort being the first GTM hire in a small remote team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with paid-media or agency customers.
  • A track record of selling into non-marketers — owners, founders, directors.
  • Multilingual (Spanish or French) for Canadian and US-Hispanic customers.
