How to Grant Bytown Access to Your Google Ads Account

Setup guide Bytown Team Updated June 30, 2026 2 min read
TL;DR

Google hides its user panel behind nested administrative menus. Once you know where to look it takes under two minutes: open Access and security, click the blue + above the user table, enter [email protected], choose the Administrative access tier, and send the invitation. We accept it immediately, and nothing goes live in your account until you approve it.

~2 minutes You'll need a Google Ads login Admin access to the correct ad account

Step 1: Log into Google Ads

Navigate to ads.google.com and verify you are viewing the correct ad account. If you manage more than one, use the account switcher in the top corner before continuing.

Step 2: Open Access and security

Google is currently rolling out a sleek new sidebar layout, so choose the path that matches what's on your screen right now:

New layout
You see a left-hand sidebar

Click the Admin gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar, then click Access and security.

Old layout
You see the top-bar menu

Click the Tools and settings wrench icon in the top header, look under the "Setup" column, and select Access and security.

Step 3: Create a new user invitation

On the Access and security page, click the large blue + (plus) button sitting right above the user table list.

  2. Select the Administrative access tier

Choose the Administrative access tier option.

This lets our routing architecture and specialized agents cleanly audit account data and stage campaign changes for you — nothing goes live without your sign-off.

  3. Send the invitation

Click Send invitation. Google will ping us with an email notification, and our team will accept it immediately on our end.

What happens next

That's it — there's nothing else to install or configure. Google emails us the invitation, our team accepts it immediately, and your AI marketing agents can start auditing your account and drafting compliance-checked campaign changes. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

Stuck on a step? Email [email protected] and we'll walk you through it.
