Meta loves to change its interface constantly — but this guide gets us connected without the headache. Pick the option that matches where you are today, and you'll be done in about five minutes.
Before you start: which option are you?
Everything below depends on one thing — whether you already use Meta Business Manager (now often called Meta Business Suite). Choose your path:
You've only ever used the "Boost Post" button on your personal profile. Start here to create your free business home base.
Create an accountYour business already has an established setup. Skip ahead to grant us access — as a partner (preferred) or as an individual user.
Grant accessOption 1: You don't have a Business Manager yet
If you've only ever run ads by hitting the Boost Post button on your personal Facebook profile, you need to spin up a free business home base first.
-
Create your account
Go to business.facebook.com and click the black Create Account button in the top right.
-
Fill in your details
A pop-up window asks for your company name, your name, and your business email address. Fill these out and click Submit.
-
Verify your email
Check your inbox for a verification email from Meta and click the confirmation link. Once verified, your Business Manager is officially alive — now continue to Option 2 below to hand us the keys.
Option 2: You already have a Business Manager
If your business already has an established setup, choose one of the two ways below to grant us access. Way A (Partner) is preferred, but Way B (Individual) works perfectly if you'd rather keep it simple.
Way A: Add Bytown as a Partner Preferred
This keeps things secure by connecting our entire agency platform directly to yours.
-
Open your Business Settings
Go straight to business.facebook.com/settings.
-
Find Partners
In the left-hand menu, under the Users section, click on Partners.
-
Add a partner
Click the blue Add button in the middle column, then select "Give a partner access to your assets." Paste in our Partner ID:
4582332458679916
A window appears with columns for each asset type. For each one, toggle on Full Control / Manage:
Assign every asset type you can see — the number varies by business, but most often it's four: your Page, Ad Account, Instagram account, and Pixel / Dataset.
- Pages / New Pages Experience Full control
- Ad Accounts Full control
- Pixels / Datasets Full control
- Instagram Accounts Full control
- WhatsApp Accounts Full control
- Apps Full control
Heads up: Meta renamed "Pixels" to "Datasets." If you can't find "Pixels," look for "Datasets" — it's the same thing.
When you've assigned everything you can see, click Save Changes.
Way B: Add Individual User Simple
If you'd rather grant access directly to an individual team member, follow these steps instead.
-
Open your Business Settings
Head over to business.facebook.com/settings.
-
Go to People
In the left-hand menu under Users, click on People, then click the blue Invite people button.
-
Invite our team
Type in the email address [email protected].
-
Grant the right access level
Under the access-control options, select Manage or Full Control / Admin. Our staging agents require this level of clearance to draft compliance-checked campaigns safely before your final approval.
-
Assign your assets and send
Click Next, select your Page, Ad Account, and Pixel/Dataset, turn on all management toggles, and hit Send Invitation.
What happens next
Once you've granted access either way, you're done — there's nothing else to install or configure. Our team confirms the connection on our side, and your AI marketing agents can start drafting compliance-checked campaigns for your review. Nothing goes live until you approve it.
Stuck on a step? Email [email protected] and we'll walk you through it.
